Maserati have to recall sports cars

The luxury sports car manufacturer Maserati has recalled a number of their new sports cars from their granturismo models. The Italian car maker have revealed that the issue is going to affect their Gran Turismo convertible and their coupe models which are being manufactured between June 2008 and March 2010. Maserati say they are in the process of contacting every owner of the sports car because there are issues with the taillight on the vehicle. The Italian car maker is informing owners of their recalled models to the nearest Maserati repair centre there the faulty brake light will be repaired.

The defective brake light is reportedly due to a fault during the making of the vehicle which could lead to dangerous situations for drivers and could be a high risk of a accident involved within the car. The model is priced between £100,000 and £130,000 with the V8 4.7 litre model boasting a top speed of 183mph and producing almost 434bhp with the capability to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 4.8 seconds.
